Causes mosaic and/or distortion diseases of Aglaonema spp., Caladium hortulanum (caladium), Colocasia spp. (dasheen, taro), Dieffenbachia spp. (dieffenbachia, dumbcane), Xanthosoma spp. (cocoyam, elephant’s ear, tannia, yautia) and Zantedeschia spp. (calla lily). Dasheen mosaic virus infection can also result in yield losses of up to 60 percent in such crops.
