This pathogen causes halo blight of beans. It is primarily seed-borne, and can also be spread from plant to plant by rain.

Symptoms include lesions on cotyledons, leaves, stems, and seed coats. Leaf lesions are usually surrounded by a yellow, chlorotic "halo" area.
